While it is common for you to see a 5sen coin, have u seen any RM100 coin before? Well, you may soon see one. Bank Negara Malaysia will commemorate its 50th Anniversary this year. In conjunction with the event, the Bank has launched a nationwide Commemorative Coin Design Competition from 10 March to 9 April 2008. The value of the coin is to be RM100.
The winning design entry will be used to mint and produce the 50th Anniversary Commemorative Coin, besides receiving a RM20,000 cash prize. Consolation prizes of RM1,000 will also be awarded to each of the 10 shortlisted entries.
Can you imagine the joy and satisfaction of winning the competition? A commemorate coin designed by you, for your country, and to be keep by the citizens of Malaysia! Your design will be everywhere, wow! That is if you win the competition lah~
